Duties:
- Performs cat scan procedures using prescribed techniques.
- Reviews requisitions to ensure completeness verifying patient name, diagnosis, description of requested exam, etc.; adjusts equipment and selects appropriate technical factors to produce proper radiographic exposure; utilizes standard positioning techniques to obtain an optimal diagnostic image.
- Selects appropriate protocol for each CT scan procedure; ensures proper levels of density and contrast are utilized to obtain and optimal quality image.
- Performs scanning procedures of various organs to localize site of pathological process.
- Complete examination in a timely manner, orders IV and oral contrast in powerchart.
- Documents administration of contrast and scans paperwork into Cerner.
- Perform exam completion, complete screenings/consents, and paper scanning in a timely manner.
- Scanner equipment: GE, Siemens
- Required experience in: abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, brain perfusion, CTAs, multiplanar reconstruction
- Preferred experience in: aspirations/biopsies, colography, CT arthrography, drainage, myelography, transplant studies, PET/CT
